UFC718AE101 adds Modbus serial and Ethernet drivers

SoftPLC added Enron Modbus serial and Ethernet drivers to its Programmable Automation Controllers (PACs). Enron Modbus is a modification of the standard Modbus communication protocol for use in process control devices such as chromatographs, flow computers, deodorizing systems, Rtus, and fire/gas alarm systems. SoftPLC can be used as a programmable protocol converter (gateway) between Enron Modbus devices and existing controllers such as PLC, DCS, and SCADA systems (e.g. Bridge between the worlds of Modbus, Enron Modbus, Profibus, DeviceNet and Allen-Bradley PLC). SoftPLC can also be used as a feature-rich control platform for connecting to Enron Modbus devices and other I/ OS. SoftPLC has almost unlimited user memory and data register capacity. Thus, a single SoftPLC can be configured to read multiple process devices. SoftPLC can perform selection logic, complete range validation, and other functions, and make the processed data and/or raw data available to other PLCS/PACs on the HMI/SCADA system and network. In a recent installation, SoftPLC was able to save data from more than 25,000 traffic computer runs.
