1) Permanent magnet generator.

At present, most of the cars used are brush silicon rectifier generators, but the machine has a carbon brush slip ring device, carbon brush is easy to wear, short life, high failure rate.
3) brushless silicon rectifier generator.
It is easy to maintain, high reliability, but the machine increases the magnetic field air gap, large magnetic leakage, low material utilization, high cost.
At present, rare earth permanent magnet materials have a high cost performance, and modern power electronics technology has also laid the foundation for the development of chopper type electronic voltage regulators. Therefore, using rare earth permanent magnet materials and modern power electronic components to develop 42V rare earth permanent magnet generator with simple structure, high power generation efficiency and long life has high research value and broad promotion prospects.
The structure diagram of the designed Ndfeb permanent magnet power generation device is shown in Figure 4, and the three-phase half-controlled bridge rectifier voltage regulator circuit is also developed (Figure 5). The circuit consists of a three-phase half-controlled bridge rectifier circuit, a voltage signal sampling circuit and a trigger circuit. When the generator output voltage is lower than the target voltage regulator value, the electronic regulator is a three-phase rectifier output. When the generator output voltage is higher than the target voltage regulator value, the voltage signal sampling circuit automatically makes the three-phase half-controlled bridge rectifier circuit instantaneously disconnected, reducing the output electricity when the generator output voltage is lower than the target voltage regulator value, the three-phase half-controlled bridge rectifier circuit then resumes work, repeat. Through rectification and chopping, the output voltage of the generator is guaranteed to be stable direct current.
4 Performance test
42v permanent magnet generator adopts 12 pole pole shoe star rotor three-phase permanent magnet synchronous generator, rated voltage of generator, 42V; Rated power, 3000W; Rated speed, 4000r/mln. The magnetic material is NdFeb NTP30H, the remanent magnetic induction intensity Br=1.12T, the magnetic field intensity Hc=790kA/m, the maximum magnetic energy product, 224 ~ 256kJ/m. Under the conditions of load power of 2800W, 3000 W and 3200W, the performance test of the newly developed three-phase half-controlled bridge rectifier and voltage stabilizing Ndfeb permanent magnet generator was carried out from low speed to high speed. The test results are shown in Table 2.
As can be seen from Table 2, when the generator speed changes from 2000r/min to 4800r/min, and the load power changes from 2800W to 3200W, the output voltage is stable between 37.17-42.63V, and the performance index meets the design requirements.
5 Conclusions
1) The development of the current automotive power system from 14V power to 42V power is an inevitable trend, just like the 6V power upgrade to the current 12V power supply in the 1950s.
2) As a transitional stage, the study of 42V/14V dual-voltage system will be a research and development hotspot in the automotive industry in the recent period.
3) The implementation of 42V automotive power supply system standards will have a huge impact on automotive electrical and electronic equipment, and will also bring a new round of technological revolution to the entire automotive industry.
