The GE LS2100 VME backplane DS200VPBLG2A is used for external connections that cannot be achieved through VME boards due to space constraints. This model also uses a 12-pin Mate-n-Lock for power connection. The 10 power plugs on the DS200VPBLG2A board are used to electrically connect the VPBL model to the P1 backplane. The DS200VPBLG2A board uses JAA, and a 12-pin Mate-n-Lock is used for power connections. Two of these are named DCOMI and Digital Commons, which are isolated, and ACOMI, which is analog Commons, which are isolated.

Six of the eight connectors are arranged in double-wide spacing, and the other two are single-spaced. These connectors are used in many situations. For example, two of the J13 connectors, the J13-A1 and J13-A1 are digital common ground wire connections, and for more information about the eight VME connectors, refer to Tables 10 through 17 of the GEI-100227 VME Backplane User Guide for more extensive information.
