When connecting the CI520/CI522/CI526 to the bus, the communication interface is connected to
PM645B with modem cable TK515/TK593/TK803 TC512 modem. Unit with integrated modem
Connect directly to the bus cable.
When using a single medium, the bus cable must be connected to the line 1 connector on the Advant
PM645B Controller 70 (PM810) and S800 I/O station (CI810).
There should be enough space under the modem to allow for a minimum bending radius
Cable (R in the picture above). This radius depends on the cable type, usually
100 mm cables for equipment and indoor industrial environments. For underground and
Submarine cables with a radius equal to or greater than 200mm (≈8 “) are usually required.
In case of uncertainty, contact the cable manufacturer.
Please contact the cable manufacturer to find out how to make the cable
Installing optical connectors on cables is a delicate job that should be done
Carried out by experts. Cable providers can usually recommend such specialists.
The optical connector is STx4 type.
When the communication interface of Advant controller 70 is enabled, its CDP is configured.
Since the communication interface cannot be a bus administrator, it is used in
The current master bus administrator. When Advant controller 70
Start and connect to the bus, or when configured as the master bus administrator
Start.
At startup, all leds on the front of the Advant controller 70 are initialized in hardware. When the R (RUN) indicator is on, the workstation is running.
Station address Before starting the Advant controller 70, it must be assigned a station number. The PM645B selects the station number through the address switch on the front of the PM810. Station numbers must be between 1 and 79. Refer to the Advant Controller 70 documentation for more information. The station address has nothing to do with the order of the stations along the bus route. They simply represent the physical address used to refer to a particular site. The Advant controller station number is used as an interface on the Advant Fieldbus 100 hardware address for communication.
