PFEA113-IP65 ABB tension amplifier

All three versions of the ABB controller have multilingual digital display and configuration keys. Configuration keys are used to set different parameters and check the state of the tension system. 2×16 characters can display the sum of the current parameters, the difference or the individual load cell signal. All three models are also available in DIN rail versions and packaged IP651 versions, which can be installed in many harsh operating environments.

The PFEA 112 provides the same functionality and user friendliness as the PFEA 111 and adds fieldbus communication via Profibus-DP.

This state-of-the-art tension electronic device offers four load sensors with six configurable analog outputs for controlling and/or monitoring web tension. The Profibus-DP output signal is also applicable.

Another useful feature of the PFEA113 is the ability to switch the gain of two different network paths through digital input or Profibus signals. Alternatively, digital inputs can be used for remote gain scheduling or zero modulation. The unit also includes a self-diagnostic function and four configurable digital outputs for alarm and level detection. Profibus-DP also provides the status of the self-diagnostic function.

By combining up to three PFEA113s, the system can handle segmented drum applications, such as winders with up to 12 load sensors. The high level of functionality and user-friendly design make the PFEA 113 one of the most stretchable electronics on the market
