The General Electric Multiwire 469-P1-HI-A1-E features automatic configuration and is simple to install, so large and medium-sized motors can be monitored, protected and controlled more quickly. The 469-P1-HI-A1-E provides overtemperature protection, torque protection and current imbalance correction to keep the motor running smoothly and extend system life. The 469 also features technologies such as waveform capture, event reporting, and data logging to reduce troubleshooting time. System health reports can even suggest when preventive maintenance is best.
This version of the 469 comes with an enhanced display that includes an expanded keyboard and a wider 40-character LCD display. The display displays system metrics when not in use and scrolls through a list of up to 20 user-set variables. More than 20 led indicators on the front of the panel provide a quick reference for system progress and health. Leds can be green, red, or amber, depending on how healthy the process is. LED reference points include relays in service, thermal RTDS, load loss, overload sensors, etc.
Some users have questioned how to distinguish between GE Multilin’s 369 series and 469 series. While there are many similarities between the two models, the 469 has several features that offer advantages over the older series. The Multilin 469 series includes synchronous motor protection, which is not a feature of the 369. 469 can also be used for medium and large motor systems, as 369 is only used for medium motors. Finally, the 469 has tight coil monitoring, while the 369 does not.
