The 531X304IBDAMG1 is a contact input group isolation terminal board developed by GE. The 24 dry contact inputs are connected to two palisade terminal blocks on the isolated contact input (TBCI) terminal board. For contact excitation, TBCI is coupled to a DC power supply. A noise reduction circuit in the contact input protects against surges and high frequency noise.
TBCI supports simplex and TMR applications and works with VTCC/VCRC. The TBCI is connected to the VME rack, where the VCCC or VCRC processor board is placed via a cable with a molded plug. Both the TBCIH B and TBCIH C variants of the board are suitable for Mark VI and function identically. The nominal voltage is 24 V dc.

Connect the 24 dry contact input cables directly to the two I/O terminals on the terminal board. Two screws hold the blocks in place, and they can be unplugged from the board for maintenance. Each block has 24 terminals and can hold up to #12 AWG of wire. On the left side of each junction box is a shielded junction panel connected to the grounding of the case.
Power connection
Connect the TBCI to the contact excitation voltage source using plugs JE1 and JE2.
Wiring connection
The connector JR1 is used in a simplex system to connect TBCI to the I/O processor. Use connectors JR1, JS1, and JT1 to connect TBCI to the I/O processor in the TMR system. Depending on the type of Mark VI, Mark VIe, or Mark VIeS system and the level of redundancy, insert the cable or I/O packet.
531X304IBDAMG1 operation
At each input near the signal input point, the filter reduces high-frequency noise and controls surges. The dry contact input on the H1 is powered by a floating 125 V DC (100-145 V DC) power supply controlled by the turbine. The 125 V DC bus is subject to current limitation in the distribution module before power is supplied to each contact input. As shown in the specification sheet, the H2 and H3 variants use lower voltages.

Perform the following diagnostic tests on the components on the patch board:
Measure the excitation voltage. If the excitation falls below 40% of the nominal voltage, the I/O component/board sets and locks a diagnostic warning.
As a test, all panel inputs are set to the disconnected contact (fail-safe) state. Any input that does not pass the diagnostic test is forced into fail-safe mode, resulting in a failure.
If the input from that board does not match the TMR voting values from all three boards, a fault is issued.
Each terminal board connector has its own ID device, which is queried by the I/O packet/board.
