Product Description:

The BENTLY 163179-02 is a tachometer module belonging specifically to the 3500/61 series.
This tachometer module is a 2-channel module that accepts input from a proximity probe or magnetic sensor to determine shaft speed, rotor acceleration, or rotor direction. It can compare these measurements to user-programmable alarm set points and generate alerts when these set points are violated.
The BENTLY 163179-02 tachometer module is programmed using 3500 rack configuration software and can be configured with four different options, including speed monitoring, set point alarm, and speed belt alarm; Speed monitoring, set point alarm and zero speed notification; Speed monitoring, set point alarm and rotor acceleration alarm; As well as speed monitoring, set point alarms, and reverse notifications.
The module also has a peak-hold function, which stores the maximum speed achieved by the machine, the maximum reverse speed, or the number of reverse rotations (depending on the channel type selected), which can be reset by the user.
The BENTLY 163179-02 tachometer module can be configured to provide the conditioned Keyphasor® signal to the backplane of the 3500 rack for use by other monitors, eliminating the need for a separate Keyphasor module in the rack.
