The UCD240A101 Automated DCS card starts by running the w/Load input and then switches the host to another unit. Only when the AUTO input is off, the new host will not start. This example shows that the new host will be started due to a LOM condition. If all 3 devices are in automatic mode and LOM is detected. All 3 units will have owners telling me to start. Once online, the master station can sort the slave station and shut down the unit if the system load is low. Now, if I switch Master, the new Master will start and sync to the bus. The new owner will now follow the sort values it used to start and stop the slave. The new host (network address 2) will start and run parallel to the previous host (network address 1). Load control will be synchronous load sharing between the two units. See Figure 5-13. If the system load is greater than 25%, both cells will remain online. If the system load drops below 25%, the new host (network address 2) sorts the slave (network address 1) offline.
