Macro Sensors, a sensor company specializing in LVDT linear sensors and measuring probes, has introduced a new line of 24V single-ended DC-LVDT position sensors that offer 0-10V outputs, It can be used with PLCS, digital indicators, A/D converters, computer-based data processors and quality control data acquisition systems. Utilizing built-in electronics, the SE 750 Series Universal DC LVDT offers the ideal functionality of an AC operated LVDT, but with the convenience of DC input and output. With high reliability, easy field integration, and excellent resolution, these industry-standard 3/4 inch (19 mm)LVDTs are ideal for a variety of position measurement applications, including valve position detection, hydraulic cylinder positioning, and use as machine tool positioners and material test extenders.

Macro sensors are available in nine standard ranges from 0.100 inches (2.5 mm) to 20.00 inches (500 mm) for the SE 750 series. The maximum linear error of the sensor is less than or equal to 0.25% FSO, and 0.10% FSO can be selected. Operating temperature range is 0°F to 160°F(-20°C to +70°C). The unit operates with a nominal voltage of 24V DC, a nominal input voltage of 15-24V DC +10% or 30 mA, and provides a full scale output of 0 to 10V DC over the induction range. The SE Series 750 LVDTs is a single-ended LVDT that is terminated with a sealed axial connector that prevents the core from fully passing through the coil assembly. The through hole design allows the core of the sensor to be accessed from both ends for better mechanical support and core orientation, and helps clean the hole. The stainless steel housing acts as a magnetic shield to reduce the influence of external AC magnetic fields. Seal according to IEC standard IP-62. For added environmental protection, the SE 750 LVDTs can optionally use Teflon hole liners and metric threaded cores.
