To update the OS, perform the following steps according to your touchscreen model: 1. Power on the HMI, connect the hardware, and set the download path on the control panel. 2. Select the menu command “Project ▶ Transfer ▶ Communication Settings” from WinCCflexible of the configuration computer. This will open the Communication Settings dialog box. 3. Select an HMI device type. 4. Set connection parameters. 5. Click OK to close the dialog box. 6. Select the menu command “Project ▶ Transfer ▶ Update operating system” from WinCCflexible. 7. In Image Path, select the folder that contains the HMI device image file *.img. HMI device image files can be found under “WinCCflexibleImages” in the WinCCflexible installation folder, or on the appropriate WinCCflexible installation CD. 8. Select Open. When the image file is opened, the version information of the HMI device image file is displayed in the output area. 9. Select Update OS from WinCCflexible to run the operating system update. Follow the instructions for WinCCflexible. A status view appears indicating the update progress of the operating system.
Note: the OS update time is relatively long, the system will automatically restart after the update, and then the restart can not be powered off before the completion, otherwise it can only be taken to repair. After updating the system will automatically restart, it is recommended to use Ethernet update, can be much faster.
