ABB FI830F Profibus Module Field Bus communication module

The FI 830F module is an interface to the Profibus fieldbus. It functions according to the PROFIBUS-DP V1 standard (DIN 19245 Amendment 1),

Supports baud rates up to 12 MBd.

This module is the main station on the Profibus line and can connect up to 126 Profibus slave stations.

Configuration and parameter setting is done entirely through Control Builder F without the need for additional external configuration tools.

Line redundancy can be achieved with an external device (RLM 01) that drives two Profibus lines in parallel.

When combined with a second AC 800F, the module can also operate in redundant master mode without limiting any other functionality.
