Figure 2 shows the network configuration diagram of the intelligent motor center M102. SST_PFB_CLX_MASTER in the figure is the PROFIBUS communication card carried by the PKS system. As the main station of the network, the station number is 000. M102 is the slave station, and the station number starts from 001. M102 supports a variety of data structures, through comparison, we chose the 8-byte input / 2-byte output mode, which can ensure that more data can be read without affecting the network speed.
At one end of M102, the corresponding station number (which must be the same as that in PKS) is set by special software, the corresponding parameters of the motor are set, and the corresponding input and output bytes are specified (such as the bits corresponding to the specified operation and fault signals). The communication rate is determined by the master station, and can be automatically obtained after the M102 is powered off and restarted.
2.2 Configuration of frequency converter
We connect the inverter equipment to a single piece of PBIM to form a separate network, and its communication rate can reach 1.5Mbps, ensuring the reliable and rapid control of the inverter. After adding the drive’s GSD file, you can see ABB_DRVICES_RPBA in the corresponding slave library.
Figure 3 shows the PROFIBUS_DP network configuration diagram of the frequency converter. Similar to M102, the main station number here is 0, and the frequency converter station number starts from 001. The network configuration should be noted in Modules and Ext.Prms. The frequency converter supports a total of PPO1-PPO5 five PPO modules, here we choose PPO4 mode, which can read more analog data, but does not read the related parameters of the frequency converter. In parameter setting, it should be noted that the Operation mode in the figure uses the Vendor Specific protocol used in the figure, but cannot use its default Profidrive protocol.
At one end of the frequency converter, it is necessary to add the RPBA module (ABB special PROFIBUS communication module), whose address is completed by a hard jumper (must be the same as that in PKS), and set the corresponding communication parameters in the frequency converter. Unlike the M102, the frequency converter needs to be initialized (in order to complete the frequency conversion control function), which must be completed in the DCS to ensure normal communication after the frequency converter is powered off and restarted
