TRICONEX C1 communication module
The TRICONEX C1 is a communication module that supports Ethernet and can operate at 2 megabits per second between the main processor and the communication module. Here are more details about the TRICONEX C1:
Power Supply and regulation: The power supply of the chassis is distributed on two independent power guide rails in the center of the backplane. Each module obtains power from these two power rails through dual power regulators to ensure reliable power supply.
Module design: There are four power regulators on each input and output module for channels A, B, and C, as well as status indicator leds.
The TRICONEX C1 supports two basic types of digital input modules: TMR and single. Each digital input module contains circuits with three identical channels (A, B, and C) that are completely isolated from each other and operate independently.
Communication and connectivity: The TRICONEX C1’s communication bus ensures efficient data transfer between the main processor and the communication module. In addition, each I/O module transmits signals to or from the field through its associated field terminal components.
In the case, the two positions are connected together as a logical slot, holding the active I/O module and the hot standby I/O module. This design ensures redundancy and high availability of the system.
Applications and features: The TRICONEX C1 module is widely used in industrial automation, especially in applications requiring high reliability and safety, such as the oil, gas, chemical and power industries.
Its triple module redundancy (TMR) structure provides the capability of a fault-tolerant controller to provide highly complete, error-free, uninterrupted process operation through a two-out-of-three voting mechanism.
Troubleshooting and Safety: The TRICONEX C1 is designed with troubleshooting and safety in mind. For example, a fault on one channel cannot be propagated to another channel, each of which contains an I/O communication processor that handles communication with its corresponding main processor.
All critical signal paths are triple 100% on the TMR digital input module for security and maximum availability.
