Bedrock Automation introduces the SPS.500 Safe power supply. The power supply provides network security certification and onboard intelligence for diagnostics and secure Ethernet communications. Packaged in a NEMA 4X sealed aluminum housing, any PLC, SCADA RTU, PAC or DCS user can modify the SPS.500 inside or outside the housing, anywhere in the plant and in harsh environments.
The Cornerstone SPS.500 makes power supplies a viable player in the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), with the following features not commonly found in today’s power supplies: Ethernet and OPC/UA communication, support for local or remote monitoring of power health for system reliability and plant safety Network security microprocessors and on-board memory, Built-in redundant modules for diagnostics and software-defined functions Simplify installation and increase reliability by eliminating the need for external redundant modules Two built-in, software-configurable C-contact relays provide operational and diagnostic status

The Bedrock Automation SPS.500 has been designed with a safety margin that protects against accelerated physical and electrical wear. The SPS.500 is packaged in a NEMA4X sealed solid aluminum metal housing. This ground-breaking electromechanical design offers users many benefits, including protection against severe EMI/EMP, as well as extreme temperatures, shock, vibration, and water and solids intrusion. This approach provides FIPS140-2 tamper-proof compliance for network defense. Physical ruggedness makes the SPS.500 suitable for remote or extreme applications in automation.
The Bedrock Safety power supply provides a single or redundant power supply, using 90-264 volts AC supply voltage 50/60 Hz input. Its output power of up to 500 watts can be configured by software, between 21 and 28 volts.
